Halloween Deposit

Hey everyone! So . . . Halloween is coming like a ton of bricks and we have been poorly prepared. Kind of the story of our lives. Anyway, we went to Gardner Village last Saturday with all of Jameson's family. They have a really cute witches festival. Here are some photos that depict this very thing!

Pumpkin patch pics -- Could he be cuter? I will say, it was a challenge making sure he didn't fall over whilst trying to capture this moment.

We used the wrap to meander about. So . . . free commercial for sasha wraps. I was dancing to the music on the speakers and embarrassing my husband. One of my favorite passtimes.

Just a photo with Debbie, Jay and all the grandkids.

Here Jameson and I were waiting for everyone to show up, so we found this wooden swinging chair. Could anyone have men more handsome than these? I think not!

Moving on -- I ran in a 5k this weekend. It was the Running Scared 5k Race in Herriman Utah. I know, I know. Let's give some mad props to Jameson for motivating me with some sweet under armor cold wear pants. I pushed Bug in a stroller. We were dressed up like zombies, but I felt under-dressed for the race.

I think this proves a previous point -- there are simply not a better pair of men.

Showing off my sweet nike cold wear tights.

Army guy? Zombie? Take your pick.

Captain Jack Sparrow? I didn't know you ran in 5k races in Herriman Utah!

Same goes for the Jolly Green Giant

Jameson played in a soccer game that we raced to (get it, raced to?). This is the first year that he has done an outdoor league. Sadly, it is the last game of the season, and I feel terrible, but this is the first game I have come to. Even having a child in the middle of the season, I think I would have made at least one game. . .

Finally, we had a Halloween Party at Debbie's. It fell a tad flat, but there was pumpkin carving, and we all dressed up. Packer was a Bat, Jameson was Dracula, and I was a bride of Dracula. Cute, right?

We were all a little tired at this point

A tad bit more awake here. Isn't he so cute?!?

I don't really have a book or movie to add here. I need to go feed my baby! So . . . I will double up next time?

First Trip to the Ranch

So -- our little guy had his first trip to the ranch. My crazy sister and her whole family were there -- and it was wonderful! Packer was a trooper and just about everyone held him. We got there on Thursday evening and I got to listen to my mom and her sister Rhonda chat. It made me happy to see these two sisters laugh their heater laughs together. Then my sister showed up and Packer got to meet all of his cousins. Even though some of the semantics such as bath and bed time were a bit rough due to some inclement weather, but it was totally worth it to see all my wonderful extended family. It was also fun to have some of Cristian's family there to see how beautiful the ranch is! Every time I go there, I see some gem that I didn't get before. I am so grateful that I have this place to go to in my mind and in reality to calm down and ground myself in what really matters -- family.

Here is my Dad holding his grandson Paul's hand (named after my grandfather who passed away) -- it kind of made me tear up that the beat goes on . . .

Yeah -- As stunning as this photo is, it doesn't do the location justice. This was taken in fall canyon behind the ranch house.

This was just a good photo (through the car window -- you can see the reflection) of some of the pretty fall colors. Dad said it was 'God's Gold'.

Here is me and my baby -- his 6 year old cousin Elisa found some stickers to put on his cheeks. They matched.

I just really loved this picture of my Grandpa Foote and Packer -- giving him a 'squeeze'.

My dad talking to Cami's son Sammy

The sisters! My sister Cami and myself and Elisa (red sweater) and Mary (purple sweater).

Normally I want to put only flattering photos up on the blog -- but this was really funny of Grandma Foote and Packer. She looks like she is not quite sure what to do with him.

This was just a very . . . telling thing about my dad. Grandpa Foote found some signatures in the rock from the 1800s. This is Dad sharing an interesting lecture regarding the history of the ranch and why they were there.

Good Book to read: Wraith by Edie Claire This is a light, enjoyable read. So if you want just a quick afternoon of fun, this is the book for you.

Good Series to Watch: Warehouse 13 This is just one of Jameson's and my favorite shows. We can't wait for more episodes to show up on Netflix!
