Bug's Fishing Trip

This week was a busy one! It is so fun to have so many 'firsts' with our little guy. This week Packer had his first fishing trip down to the Jordan River Parkway with his Uncle Taylor and his Dad. Reports of the size of the fish that Jameson caught were wildly exaggerated.

We didn't know that cat fish came this small.

We figure we is the equivalent of a 6 week old human baby. Here is a picture for reference. We let him go.

We also had our first 6 hour night this week. That was super nice (especially since it was last night!)! We also went to Oktoberfest this year with Alycia and Steven. We took some cute pictures, and saw a moose and leiderhosen (but not leiderhosen on a moose). These pictures are on Alycia's camera and will make an appearance I'm sure.

I finally finished Breathless by Dean Koontz. So. Freaking. Good. It actually made some interesting arguments against established scientific theories like evolution. Which normally I defend like crazy. Totally all about that. So that is just follow up on the Good Read I recommended the other day.

  1. I have not read anyone's blogs FOREVER...so imagine my surprise to see you have updated yours. You actually let Jameson take my grandson fishing, gulp. He has a very stunned look on his face. Also Breathless is the book your dad and i read to each other. Great plot...still had a few "what did that say" parts where you have to read it a number of times. We loved it too!

  2. Yeah -- no kidding! Jameson and I are still debating at what age Packer gets to go duck hunting.
